Vuolo played for AC Oulu, a Finnish club, after school. He appeared in 24 games for the club, recording 11 clean sheets and assisting the club to a third-place league finish. Vuolo returned to the United States on January 25, 2012, when he signed with Major League Soccer team New York Red Bulls.
