After their divorce, her husband Edge married Lisa Ortiz as his second wife on October 21, 2004. But within a short span of time after his second marriage, Edge started an affair with Amy Dumas. Because of his affair with Amy, Ortiz gave him divorced on November 17, 2005.

He remained single for some years after his divorce from his second wife Ortiz. Then he married Beth Phoenix who is also a former WWE wrestler. The couple dated for a year and finally tied the wedding knot on October 30, 2016, which Edge’s 43rd birthday. They have two daughters named Lyric Rose Copeland, born on 12 December 2013, and Ruby Ever Copeland, born on 31 May 2016.

Professional Career

His first fight in WWF ( now WWE) was on May 10, 1996, as Sexton Hardcastle. In the year 1997, he toured the Grand Prix and received training from De Marco. Later in June 1998, Copeland made his WWF television debut as Edge where he fought against Jose Estrada Jr.

Edge won his first title, the WWF Intercontinental Championship in July 1999 where he fought against Jeff Jarrett. He then collaborated with Christian for WrestleMania 2000. They proceeded to win the WWF Tag Team Championship.

In 2001, Edge competed for the King of the Ring tournament. He fought against Christian and Edge won the title of the Intercontinental Championship. He then went for the SmackDown! WWE Tag Team Championship where he teamed up with Rey Mysterio.

They lost the match to Kurt Angle and Christ Benoit. The match was voted as the ‘Match of the Year’. Later, the duo won their first Tag Team Championship title. Edge competed in the 2005 World Heavyweight title. Edge won the first Elimination Chamber match by defeating Michaels.

Followed by winning at WrestleMania 21 where he won his first-ever Money in the Bank ladder. This win took him straight to World Heavyweight Championship. However, he lost the match to Batista.

Edge won several titles including WWE Tag Team Championship(2 times ), ICW Street Fight Tag Team Championship(2 times), WCW United States Championship(1 time), World Heavyweight Championship(7 times), WWE Championship(4 times), and many more.

His last match was at WrestleMania XXVII against Alberto Del Rio and he won the match.  On April 15, 2011, Edge officially announced the news of his retirement from WWE as a World Champion.

After his retirement from WWE, Edge entered the entertainment industry. He appeared in numerous films and TV series such as  Highlander: Endgame,  Haven, The Flash, Mind of Mencia, Bookabo0, Bending the Rules, and The Edge and Christian Show. In July 2015, he was nominated for Golden Maple Award for Best Actor for his role in Haven as Dwight Hendrickson.

From 2011 to 2015, he played the recurring role of Dwight Hendrickson in the SyFy series Haven. Currently, he is appearing as Kjetill Flatnose in the fifth season of the television series titled Vikings.
